I admit that I had worried all along that Nissan would price the Cummins diesel-powered 2016 Titan XD so high that many people would just opt for a Chevy, Dodge, or Ford diesel. As it turns out Nissan priced the diesel Titan quite nicely.
The base 4×2 titan XD S Crew cab will sell for $40,290(USD), SV goes for $44,060, and SL for $52,030. The top dog Platinum Reserve 4×2 is $57,470. If you want a 4×4, the S starts at $43,290, SV $47,010, Pro-4X is $50,970, SL $55,030, and the Platinum Reserve 4×4 is $60,520.
All versions will need to add $1,195 for destination to that base price. The high-end versions are certainly costly, but that’s not too bad for a base model Cummins truck with 555 lb-ft. of torque. I’m hoping a smaller turbo diesel makes its way into the next Frontier truck.
