2017 Kia Soul Exclaim Turbo Gets 201hp and DCT Trans

Kia has unveiled a new Soul model that packs in 40 hp and 45 lb-ft. more torque than the previous top of the line ride. The car is the Kia Soul Exclaim, and it comes with a 1.6L turbo GDI engine paired with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

The Exclaim gets special trim and sportier styling with 18-inch wheels, red-accented body trim, chrome grille surround, and dual chrome tip exhaust. Other features include push button start, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a 315W Harman Kardon audio system.

While other Soul versions can be had with manual transmission, the Exclaim is only offered with DCT. Kia says the extra power doesn’t impact fuel economy. In fact, the turbo model gets 1 to 2 mpg better than the standard 130 hp naturally-aspirated engine, offering 28 mpg city and highway combined.
