Mercedes-Benz has been updating many of its cars, and the latest unveiling is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC – their compact, 2-seat convertible. The car comes in SLC300 and AMG SLC43 versions.

The base SLC 300 gets a 2.0-liter turbo four making 241 hp and 273 lb-ft. of torque. The AMG version gets a much more impressive 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that pushes out 362 hp and 384 lb-ft. of torque. All versions will have a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. The AMG engine replaces a big and heavy 5.5L V8, trading off 54 hp for weight reduction and improved fuel efficiency. With turbo 6, the AMG version can reach 60 mph in 4.6 seconds, just 0.1 seconds slower than the old V8.
