In the late ’90s, car collector Dick DeLuna found an old and rotting Italian race car that turned out to be a diamond in the rough. It was a 1948 Nardi-Danese 6C 2500, a racing variant of the Alfa Romeo 6C. Only three units were ever made. This car participated in the legendary Mille Miglia and Targa Florio and competed some more when it was imported to the United States.

After two and a half years of restoration work, the car was successfully revived; in fact Dick and his wife regularly race with it. Petrolicious spoke with Dick to find out more about his prized possession and his outlook on car collecting in general.
