George Clooney reportedly got a 2016 GTS3 RS as a birthday present last May. Most of us mere mortals will likely never have disposable cash to fork over $176,895 and up when this Porsche makes its US debut in July. For now, we can make do by enjoying this typically energetic, knowledgeable review from Chris Harris just released on his Youtube channel.

Harris is simply giddy throughout the 14-minute long video, as anyone with a pulse should be. Yet for all his enthusiasm, he still expertly throws the car around while dishing off facts, figures, opinions and funny side comments without stuttering or missing a beat. Pretty impressive considering he’s holding the reins of a 500-horsepower beast with a 4.0-liter flat-six.

Harris starts by taking a gorgeous orange model out on equally gorgeous, winding backroads in the rolling Swabian hills. He marvels at the insane carbon fiber rear wing – the most striking feature by far on the car – the weight-saving magnesium roof, the daily drive-able cockpit, the massive tires and extra wide stance, and the glorious engine note.

At the track, he bounds over to a purple GTS3 RS to really open it up, turning off all controls at one point to show how even unaided, the car’s balance and poise are phenomenal. He also throws out numerous comparisons to the GTS3 as well as other Porsche models that will make everyone but the most diehard Porsche enthusiasts’ heads spin.

Happy (belated) birthday indeed, George.
