Fiat Chrysler to Pay for College for Dealership Employeeszoom in

Whenever I hear someone rant about how young people need to get a summer job to pay for college, I like to remind them that the average cost of a college education is $19,339 and that if you can get a seasonal job as a mid-level manager at a large corporation, perhaps you should just drop out of college and stay in that job year round, making $77,596 per annum. If you want to get a job that will pay for a degree, you should go work for a U.S. Chrysler, Fiat, Jeep, Dodge or RAM dealership.

By the end of this year, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) will be offering paid-for degrees from Strayer University to dealership employees, which is really cool. Yes, it’s a for-profit university, and those can get shady, but most of the shade is regarding financial practices, and the dealership employees aren’t involved with that part of the business. Props to FCA for making the world a better place, and helping people who want to do more get a leg up.
