Tired of searching high and low for a place to drift their cars, a group of drift enthusiasts started hooning about on the stock car oval at the Lochgelly Motorsport Complex. But as interest mounted, and more and more cars and spectators came out, the stock car circuit started to take a beating. Surprisingly, the owner of the track decided that rather than to kick the guys out, he’d build them a proper drift track. And this is no amateur backyard effort – the final track took inspiration from Japan’s best drift tracks.

Driftland is now the perfect place for cars to burn rubber and powerslide without worry. In addition to offering track time for drifters, they’re offering passenger ride-along deals for those who’d rather leave the driving to the pros. You can even ride along for a side-by-side two car drift battle. Sound awesome.

If you live in the UK, it’s an easy trip to check it out in person. Driftland is located in Fife, Scotland, just 20 minutes from Edinburgh airport.
