Vintage car races almost always result in some shenanigans. Those cars did weird things when they were new and piloted by the best of the best, so when you add a half-century of deterioration and, often, significantly less skilled drivers, amusing things happen.

The latest YouTube-worthy video is this one from the Goodwood 73MM of a Maserati 250F losing traction and stalling before being bump-started in the second most amusing way possible. The most amusing would have been a bumper car, but this paralympics-style handcycling job is almost as good. I would have loved to have thought to try this when I was constantly spinning and stalling F2000 cars at the Bridgestone Racing Academy; waiting for mechanics to have a moment to run over and help out was a pain in the ass. Regardless, what are the most amusing vintage racing shenanigans you’ve seen?
