Jaguar Perfectly Restoring Classic E-Types

The E-Type experts over at Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works have scoured the world looking for the best candidates, to fully restore to their original glory. The program is called E-Type Reborn. The first of these cars is a beautiful Opalescent Gunmetal Grey Series 1 4.2 Fixed Head Coupe.

The car was originally exported to California and was restored in 1983 when it had 78,000 miles on the clock. Jaguar has restored the car, with numbers matching engine, body, and transmission

I don’t know if anyone else in the world can make such an accurate restoration of an E-Type as Jaguar themselves. The company has access to build records and other drawings that many other firms probably don’t have access to. The first run of E-Type Reborn cars will be limited to just 10 cars, with prices starting at £285,000 (~ $356,000 USD.)
