Jay Leno Checks out a 1964 Porsche 356C Restomod

The latest car to roll through Jay Leno’s Garage is this restored 1964 Porsche 356C. A glance at the outside of the car and it looks like a rather well sorted stock Porsche to most eyes. A closer look reveals that the car is anything but stock.

The massaged motor under the rear hood makes about 50% more power than the factory 1964 356C made. The car also has a bunch of unseen updates that make for more modern driving as well. If you are expecting huge power numbers, though, you will not find it here. The engine makes an estimated 145 hp and 145 lb-ft. of torque.

I love the way these old cars sound, and the 356 is one of my all time favorite Porsches, right up there with the 914.
