Manhart CR 700 AMG C63 Wagon is a Fitting Farewell to the AMG V8

With governments worldwide moving to eliminate gas-guzzling V8 engines in favor of smaller engines, hybrids, and fully electric vehicles, it appears the days of the V8 are coming to an end. German tuning firm Manhart is celebrating the final run of the Mercedes-AMG 4.0-liter Biturbo V8 with an extremely attractive and powerful C63 Wagon conversion called the Manhart CR 700.

The CR 700 started with 510 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque from the factory. After Manhart swapped the turbos, added a carbon intake, intercooler update, and remapped the ECU, the AMG wagon produces 712 horsepower and 679 lb-ft. of torque. The extra power makes the car significantly quicker than the standard car, zooming from 100 to 200 km/h in just 5.5 seconds.

The wagon’s suspension has been upgraded with coil springs by H&R, and there are new wheels and tires. Manhart will also combine the standard AMG exhaust system with its sports downpipe and catalytic converters. It also offers the car without catalytic converters for race applications. There’s an option to upgrade the AMG Speedshift MCT 9-speed transmission as well.
