McLaren first announced the special

McLaren first announced the special 675LT during the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. The 675LT is a special version of the 650S with more power and bodywork inspired by the epic McLaren F1 Longtail. To show off the car, McLaren has taken one to the track and unleashed the 675 horsepower beast.

Watch in awe as it’s flogged around the track with abandon with lots of tire smoke and drifts to go around. I love seeing high-end sports cars driven for all they are worth on the track.

I’d wager that most of the 500 units of this amazing car that are already sold will never see the track and only get driven on the occasional sunny day. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if many of them are going into a climate-controlled storage building somewhere to spend their days waiting to appreciate and turn a profit for the owners.
