Mercedes Makes Minivans Desirable with the Concept EQT

It’s not often that you hear someone say that a minivan is cool and sexy. Yet Mercedes-Benz has revealed the new Concept EQT, and that is exactly what it is, a desirable and extremely sexy minivan. Mercedes says that it is expanding its portfolio into the small van segment with the forthcoming T-Class meant to appeal to families who enjoy leisure activity and need a lot of space and versatility without giving up style.

It appears that Mercedes plans to offer both hybrid and fully-electric versions of the van. The Concept EQT features the latest MBUX infotainment system and “Hey Mercedes” voice control capability. That includes a high-resolution screen showing navigation information along with EV-specific navigation services.

Mercedes does plan to launch the Concept EQT T-Class minivan in the market sometime in 2022. It’s unclear at this time if the minivan will be coming to the States, but considering how SUVs and crossovers have dominated the U.S. market, it would be a surprise it did.

Wherever it launches, the images show a beautiful minivan with a very cool interior with plenty of white leather and various textures. That said, any family with children considering a minivan from any automaker would think twice about a white interior.
