When I was a growing up, I was lucky enough to have a dad who loved Porsches and drove a 911. Unfortunately, he made the huge mistake of letting me drive his bright yellow Targa to school when I turned 16, and I came within about an inch of totaling it because of an unadvised high speed turn that I took while leaving my high school’s parking lot. (I never told him this story, so dad if you’re reading this, sorry!)

One person who will never have this problem is this guy who built his own 911 – but powered it using a bicycle instead of an engine.
Its maker, artist Hannes Langeder (aka “Han Lan”) constructed an amazingly precise looking 911 body that he put on top of a recumbent bike. He started out with a two-seater bike and the basic frame of the car. Then he gradually built up the exterior using cardboard, tape and plastic strips.
He then covered the exterior with gold, tin-foil like sheets. The final product, complete with an awesome whale tail, looks almost showroom ready. In the video below (English captions available), its builder shows off the “car” in action:
