It’s one of my favorite scenes from any movie – when the razor-toothed flying rabbit rips apart a bunch of knights in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. And that’s exactly what I was thinking was going to happen when I watched this video of a wily hare that managed to stop a NASCAR Truck series practice the other day at Tennessee’s Bristol Motor Speedway.

Even though the rabbit didn’t behead anyone, he did make a lot of people look pretty foolish, especially a big fella who tries to trap it with a bucket, which they also show in an incredibly embarrassing slo-mo replay. Check out the video, and you’ll see just how goofy grown men can look trying to capture a little bunny. The broadcasters even have a good time with the incident, with one of them chiming in rather appropriately about the very fast and agile hare – “I’m wondering if someone out to sign this rabbit as a running back for the Carolina Panthers.”
