When you’re a boutique supercar manufacturer, it behooves you to make good on your fancy promises. Sadly, many times it’s all show and no go because R&D, marketing and actually building the car costs more coin than you can imagine. On the other hand, stuff tends to move forward when you actually have investors as well as deposits from customers who can afford more than just that daily driver.

Revzani Motors of California has just made good on theirs by getting it ready for sale.

The Revzani Beast is changed slightly from its debut car a year ago with body tweaks, a change to a single powertrain (a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder with 500 hp) and the unfortunate removal of the suspension view through the hood. The chassis, as promised, will be the spectacular Ariel-Atom 3-based version only more rigid, and the weight will be a super-light 1,650 pounds – giving the Beast a 0-60 time of 2.7 seconds, making it only slightly slower than the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. Now, that’s something.

Starting price is $165,000, which puts it well under a Ferrari 458 Spyder but with a better power-to-weight ratio and probably 1/1000th of the badge recognition and far fewer creature comforts. But if Revzani has its way, it’ll soon be on the supercar map if all goes according to plan.
