Last week I posted up some images from a run Subaru did down one of the oldest bobsled runs in the world. Subaru put its Isle of Man beast Mark Higgins behind the wheel and set him loose. The goal was to see how fast he could drive down the bobsled run. Now we have the official video of the insane run.
It was rather rough on the shiny blue WRX STI, and it makes me a bit sad to see the car get beat up like that. The car was modified to protect the driver and to keep the car running the whole way. What I’m really surprised by is that the bobsled run let Subaru do this – it looks like it took as much abuse as the car did.
