If you don’t live in the mid-Atlantic region, you may not be familiar with the Sheetz restaurant and gas station chain. Word has turned up that Sheetz and Tesla are in talks for something that could drastically change how EV drivers get around in the region.
Sheetz has confirmed that it is in talks with Tesla to install Superchargers at its chain of gas stations. If the deal goes through it would massively increase the number of available quick-charging locations for Tesla owners.
Tesla has made no official comments on the deal, but installing Superchargers in the same places that standard cars refuel would be a great way to reduce range anxiety and push more people to purchase Tesla EVs.
