The 2017 Acura NSX Gets Drivenzoom in

It seems like it’s been an eternity since Acura and Honda first showed off the concept for its NSX reboot. In fact, the initial design for this model was shown in 2012, after a false start way back in 2008. Over the years, the car has seen changes to its drivetrain and refinements to its design, and is supposed to finally go into production in 2016.

Other than a bit of leaked testing footage, we’ve not seen much of the new NSX in action. But Jason Harper and Basem Wasef of Automobile Magazine were among the lucky few to get a chance to drive the car so far. The final model sports a powerful hybrid drivetrain not unlike that found in the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari. However, Acura’s take appears to be much more at home on the public roads than on the track. It’s certainly not as exciting as its European competitors, but it definitely looks much more thrilling than other Acuras or Hondas.
