We still have to wait about a year before we can get behind the wheel of the rugged new aluminum-bodied F-150 Raptor. But Ford is already knee and waist-deep in mud testing out prototypes of their flagship performance truck. In this just-released video, watch the Raptor make quick work of mud ruts, loose dirt, logs, and fording water on an off-road test course.

With chunky big lug tires, four-wheel drive, and a 450 horsepower EcoBoost V6, the Raptor thinks nothing of the obstacles. I, for one, can’t wait to take one for a drive next Fall, once they’re in production.
