It’s only fifty seconds long, but this clip of Ford Performance testing out the new Ford GT is definitely enough to get gearheads drooling. Watch this prototype GT tear up the track at Daytona, and provide us with a feast for both our eyes and ears. It looks like the car is tricked out with its Le Mans equipment, as it’s sporting a huge wing and added aero elements not shown on the production car.
While I definitely miss the roar of the old GT’s V8 engine, I still think the EcoBoost 6 has a wonderful exhaust note. If you absolutely must have that deep baritone sound, then there’s always the Shelby GT350.
