Ford to Invest $4.5 Bil in New Electrified Products

Ford Motor Co. will invest $4.5 bil by the end of the decade to expand its line-up of “electrified” vehicles, including hybrids, plug-ins and pure battery-electric models, said CEO Mark Fields. The maker will also adopt new high-speed charging capabilities and boost range. As TheDetroitBureau.com reports, Ford also expects to see a sharp drop in battery prices.
