Toyota and Mazda have confirmed a vast new alliance that will see them set up a new $1.6b U.S. factory – employing up to 4,000 – to produce a new generation of electric vehicles. They will enter an equity swap and start working together on a variety of other projects, reports TheDetroitBureau.com.
