One of my favorite things about automaker websites are the configurators that allow you to set up a car or truck just how you want it and see how much it would cost. If you are lusting after a 2016 Ford Focus RS, apparently the configurator for the car leaked recently tipping the starting price for the car.
According to that leak, the Focus RS will start at $36,605, after destination fees. Before Ford got wise to the accidental launch of the configurator, the standard features were gleaned along with pricing.
The car will come with 18-inch painted aluminum wheels, a ten-speaker Sony audio system, and partial leather Recaro seats. Some notable options were navigation, sunroof, 19-inch wheels, and a $1,900 option for Michelin Cup tires. That pricing puts the Focus RS on par with the WRX STI or a Volkswagen Golf R. I was secretly hoping the car would come in the low $30,000 range.
