Honda has rolled out its all-new 2017 CR-V, and the compact SUV looks much more sophisticated than previous generations. It also has more rear seat leg room, more cargo space and class-leading fuel economy. Exactly how fuel efficient the CR-V is we don’t know.
What we do know is that all versions but the LX will get an upgraded 1.5L 190 hp direct-injection turbocharged motor. The LX will get a 2.4L DOHC engine. Both engines pair with the same Honda CVT transmission. The CR-V is available as a FWD or AWD vehicle. The 2017 CR-V has a longer wheelbase, longer hood, and short rear overhangs than the previous generation model, all of which improve its overall looks.
Inside the interior is upgraded with improved interior space and cargo room, available premium materials, and a 7-inch touchscreen. The CR-V will offer Honda Sensing, an extensive suite of safety technology as standard equipment on EX trim levels and above. The infotainment system also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is no official word on pricing or availability for the new CR-V right now, but I’d expect it to remain competitively priced, and in dealerships in early 2017.
