Mercedes has added a new model to its C-class family of cars and this one is the hopped up Mercedes-AMG C43 coupe. Motivation for the C43 is a 3.0L biturbo V6 engine that makes 362 hp and 384 lb-ft. of torque. That is enough oomph to push the car to a top speed of 155 mph and to 60mph from a stop in 4.6 seconds.
The engine power is put to the ground via a new 9G-TRONIC transmission with paddle shift modes, double-declutching and very fast shifts. The AMG 4MATIC AWD has read-biased torque distribution with a split of 31/69% front to rear, which should make it both fun to drive, and controllable. AMG Ride Control suspension is included with five driver selectable modes.
