2018 MINI John Cooper Works Countryman Gets More Everything

MINI has revealed the redesigned John Cooper Works Countryman for 2018. This time out, it come standard with ALL4 all-wheel drive, along with the most powerful engine ever fitted into a factory Mini, making 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. MINI also outfits the car with sports suspension, Brembo brakes, and 18-inch wheels.

The new model is 6.7″ longer, 1.3″ wider, and has a 2.9″ longer wheelbase, and can now seat five people and has more luggage space than the outgoing model. Here’s a side-by-side shot for comparison, so you can see how different the two cars are:

JCW cars get an enhanced aerodynamics package and can reach 60mph in 6.2 seconds with the standard 6-speed manual or the 8-speed optional automatic. The car also gets standard LED headlights and MINI driving modes and comfort access.






The new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman will land in dealerships this April at an as yet undisclosed price.
