BMW has unveiled a special edition of the M3 to celebrate 30 years of the iconic sports car. The special edition is called the BMW M3 “30 Years M3” and there will only be 500 of these cars made and sold globally. The car is based on the current M3 Competition Package, and makes an impressive 450 hp. Paired with a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic, it can do 0-to-62 mph in 4 seconds flat.
All 500 examples will be coated in special Macao Blue metallic paint, a color available on the original M3. The car gets the Competition Package Adaptive M suspension with driving modes. The car rides on the Competition package 20-inch alloy wheels with special performance tires.

Inside, the car gets carbon fiber trim with a numbered plaque. The interior also gets M sport seats with seatbelts that have woven in M stripes. The interior is in full merino leather in black/fjord blue colors. The special edition car will sell for €10,000 (~$11,400 USD) more than the M3 with Competition Package, and will launch this summer in Germany. No word on whether the 30 Year M3 will be available outside of Europe.
