BMW Art Car to Race the Rolex 24

BMW has been working with artists for years now to create special one-of-a-kind Art Cars. The latest BMW Art Car was designed by John Baldessari as a rolling sculpture. This Art Car isn’t a normal BMW production car though, this time out the artist created his design on the blank, white canvas of the BMW M6 GTLM race car.

The car and its rather funky artist-created livery will run the Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 28 and 29. To be honest, the racer has a rather bland look, with just a few random splotches of color on it. On the driver door is “FAST” as if you didn’t know a race car was fast already. The other side has a picture of the car itself with no art adorning it. I’ll just insert the obligatory Xzibit meme in the gallery.
