BAD NEWS! Hilarious and lovable, yet sorely lacking in restraint and foresight, ogre and automotive journalist/Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has reportedly punched one of his producers. A press release was sent out earlier today saying that Clarkson had been suspended on account of a “fracas” with a producer, and now The Radio Times is reporting that the fracas involved Clarkson’s fist and some part of a producers’ anatomy. Two things: that sounded dirtier than it was supposed to and “fracas” is the most over-represented word in the automotive circle on Twitter.
The result of this is that the last three episodes of Top Gear Season 22 will not be aired, which brings great big tears to my eyes. It’s also up in the air what will happen to the show in the future, although neither Clarkson’s, May’s, or Hammond’s tweets about the ordeal seem particularly concerned. Time will tell.
