Daihatsu Canbus is One Adorable Minivan

It’s been a while since you could buy a Daihatsu in the US, but in Japan, they are still very common. They also built some cars for Scion, like the boxy xB. The company is showing of a cute little van called the Canbus, targeted to women buyers. It’s certainly not excessively feminine in design though. In fact, I rather like the way it looks.

The micro van is small outside, but said to have ample space inside for five passengers and cargo. It has normal front doors and sliding rear doors with a tailgate.

The Canbus is a Kei car, meaning it can be no more than 11.2-feet long and 4.9-feet wide. The engine limit is 660cc and can make no more than 63 hp. Those sounds more like specifications for a modest motorcycle than a car. Still, it’s a very cool little van.
