One of the more impressive vehicles to turn up at the recent SEMA show in Las Vegas was this rugged off-road pickup truck which started out life as a Cummins diesel-powered Nissan Titan XD, but gained some serious camping chops thanks to Hellwig Products.
Constructed by the guys at LGE-CTS Motorsports, the bumblebee yellow and black truck’s most prominent feature has to be the big sleeper section in the bed, a Lance 650 Camper. Of course, if you want to ride with all that extra weight and height in the bed, it’s a good idea to upgrade the suspension too. That’s where Hellwig came in, adding their 2800 lb. “Big Wig” air springs and a forged sway bar to help keep the ride stable. Ground clearance was enhanced with a Icon Vehicle Dynamics Stage 3 kit, which gave it three extra inches of lift. Other upgrades include a Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust system, a Fab Fours bumper, Baja Designs lights, as well as a Warn winch and Factor 55 winch shackle. The whole thing rides on blacked-out Method Wheels, wrapped in rugged Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires.
