McLaren is tauntingly teasing us with a few images and a bit of detail on its entry-level sports car called the 570S Coupe. The car will make its official debut on April 1 at the McLaren unveil at the 2015 New York International Auto Show. The 570S will be an entry-level sports car and gives McLaren a three-tier line for the first time.
McLaren promises that the car will have class-leading performance. Like the 650S, the 570 in the name of the car represent the number of horsepower it produces, and it will pack a V8 engine. So far, all we have to go on are teaser images or shots of the car with camouflage.
McLaren is promising all the details on the car will be unveiled on April 1. We can assume an “entry-level” McLaren will be on par with an entry-level Ferrari, which is to say you’ll be looking at well over $100,000 for one of these cars. I would also assume since the car is called the 570S Coupe, a 570S Spider version will come later.
