McLaren has revealed that it will be building one of the sweet long tail or LT versions of the 720s that just debuted. Traditionally the LT versions of the McLaren cars offer even more performance than the standard S versions.
In an interview with Car and Driver, McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt said that the 675LT was a huge success, and the company will repeat that in the future. He also says that with the LT moniker established, people know that a 720LT will have better handling, more power, and will be lighter.
McLaren is even thinking about an LT version of some of its smaller sport series cars. I’m still not a big fan of the headlights and front end of the 720S, but that’s just me.
