Renault has announced that its compact electric car, the ZOE will go up for ordering on October 1. The car now comes with an E 40 battery, and an NEDC driving range of 400km (~248 miles) per charge. Renault says that the car will drive for 300km (~186 miles) in the real world.
The ZOE is poised to take on the Chevy Bolt with that range. It appears that the EV will be available for rental in Europe with a Flex ZE 40 package that adjusts costs to miles driven. A Relax package will give consumers unlimited mileage.
An Edition One version will be offered that has some upgrades like leather seats, Smoke Grey steering wheel decoration, velvet carpet front and back, and special badges on one side. Pricing is unannounced at this time.
