Superformance has been making replica sports cars for a long time and they are among some of the best out there in many opinions. The latest replica car that the company has unveiled is this amazing Superformance Ford GT40 Mk. II.
The replica is as faithful as possible to the original car that won Ford the 24hrs of Le Mans in 1966. The moncoque and unibody are such a precise match to the real car, that 90% of the parts could be interchanged between the original and the replica.
However, to make it more driveable, some modern components are fitted, including Wilwood brakes, Bilstein shocks, AC, and an adjustable pedal box. Engine selection is up to the buyer, but Superformance recommends a 427ci V8.
There will be three different appearance editions, with the black and silver that Bruce McLaren drove, blue and white stripes that Ken Miles drove, and the red with white striped that Dan Gurney drove. Only 20 units of the car will be made, so you better move quick if you want one.
