With some of the world’s toughest emissions rules already in place, the EU wants to crack down even harder on CO2, the gas primarily blamed for global warming. It’s already targeting the equivalent of 57 mpg by 2021 and the new 2030 target could force a massive shift to battery power, reports TheDetroitBureau.com.
