With the development of the Cayenne in 2002, Porsche established a new segment of the SUV market: performance utes, and with the 2024 version revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show, it’s establishing a new benchmark.
The performance icon received a complete makeover for the 2024 model year, starting with a refreshed exterior, class-leading technology and more power — including the return of the V-8 for the Cayenne S.
“It’s one of the most extensive product upgrades in the history of Porsche,” said Michael Schätzle, vice president Product Line Cayenne.

The updates for the exterior are not stark, rather they improve upon what was already one of the most attractive models among sport utilities. However, it was essentially recast with a completely new front end, including “more athletically styled” fenders, a new hood and headlights designed to make the new version look like a younger, better Cayenne.
At the back, three-dimensionally designed taillights, with uncluttered surfaces beneath and a new rear fascia with integrated license plate holder characterize the rear end design of the new Cayenne.
Porsche is offering three new colors, including Algarve Blue Metallic, Montego Blue Metallic and Arctic Grey. The optional Lightweight Sport Package saves up to 72 pounds of weight for the Cayenne Coupé, and a new extensive range of 20-, 21- and 22-inch wheels add to the high degree of customization available for the new Cayenne.
